Fair, Transparent & Hassle-Free Returns

At Trade.com.au, we stand behind the quality of every device we sell. While we carefully inspect, test, and grade each phone, we understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. That’s why we offer a flexible 18-day change-of-mind return policy, as well as comprehensive 12-month warranty coverage for faulty devices.


🔁 Change of Mind Returns (Within 18 Days)

If you've changed your mind about your purchase, you can return your device within 18 days of receiving it.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition it was sold — no additional wear, scratches, cracks, or damage.

  • All original accessories and packaging (if provided) must be included.

  • The device must not be jailbroken, unlocked beyond its original state, or software-modified.

All change-of-mind returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee to help cover inspection, testing, and administration.
Return postage is the customer’s responsibility.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Devices with physical or liquid damage.

  • Products returned outside the 18-day window.

  • Items missing accessories or showing signs of tampering.


💡 Example: How the Restocking Fee Works

Let’s say you purchased an iPhone 16 from Trade.com.au for $900 and decided to return it within 18 days.
Here’s the breakdown:

  • Purchase Price: $900

  • Restocking Fee (5%): $45

  • Refund Amount: $855

You would receive $855 once the return is inspected and approved. You will also need to cover return shipping costs.


🛡️ Faulty Items & Warranty Coverage (12 Months)

All devices sold on Trade.com.au come with a 12-month warranty. If your device develops a fault during this period, we’ll repair or replace it, or offer a refund if appropriate, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

To lodge a warranty claim:

  1. Email hello@trade.com.au with your order number and a description of the fault.

  2. We’ll assess the issue and provide instructions.

  3. If the issue is confirmed to be a warranty fault, we will cover the return shipping and provide a resolution promptly.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental or liquid damage.

  • General wear and tear.

  • Issues caused by third-party repair or tampering.


📬 How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at hello@trade.com.au with your order number, reason for return, and any supporting photos.

  2. Our team will confirm eligibility and send you the return address and packing instructions.

  3. Once we receive and inspect the device, your refund (minus any applicable fees) will be processed within 3–5 business days.
